THE CRUMBLING RUINS OF SARAJEVO’S 1984 WINTER OLYMPICS

This article about the ruins of Sarajevo Olympics picks up on what we said during the debate at #IFEAConference: the cities that really are winners of the Olympic games are those that can reinvent the spaces and the structures for new purposes. When war is involved though, like in the case of Sarajevo, it is the symbolic meaning of the event that remains, as positive memory of peace and unity.
