The countdown is now well underway to Greenwich Docklands International Festival “GDIF” 2014, which opens on 20 June and ends on 28 June.
Greenwich Docklands International Festival “GDIF” is London’s leading festival of free outdoor performing arts: theatre, dance, and street arts. GDIF Festival is an annual 9 day celebration of extraordinary outdoor events that features over 150 performances by 30 national and international companies.
The Festival is committed to breaking new ground in outdoor performance and raising the ambition, quality and diversity of outdoor work, with a particular focus on the commissioning and development of outdoor work led by deaf, disabled artists and artists from diverse backgrounds.
See the world from a different angle and immerse yourself in London’s festival of shape-shifting, perception changing, free outdoor performance.
From gravity-defying aerial choreography to global stories of war and peace; encounters between the living and the dead and a house turned inside out; from a pop-up desert island to a flying ship; this summer the magic of outdoor theatre will reinvent the everyday and encourage you to look at the world anew.
