About Summer Camp

The  Summer Camp IFEA  is the place aspiring students in management of the event want to be.

IFEAIt is an exciting learning environment, combining academic teaching and best-practice lectures by event professionals with fun, hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience at the world’s leading street theatre festival, the Fira de Tàrrega.

The Summer Camp is designed as a camp, creating an informal environment and allowing for plenty of personal interaction with other participants. Only two students from each country will be selected on the basis of personal applications.

The topics covered are based upon elements of the IFEA’s formal “Certified Festivals and Events Executive” accreditation programme for industry professionals including festival funding and sponsorships, marketing and branding, and tourism/city relations. Programming topics such as artist contracting and on-site production handling are also covered.

Presenters and speakers include former and current CEOs, programmers and marketers of celebrations of the multi-purpose city fringe festivals, classical music festivals, historical re enactment events, and others, as well as artistic producer of the Fira de Tàrrega and international experts.

The fee is € 300 which covers: All conferences, seminars and workshops throughout the summer camp, accreditation, camping, meals, internal transfers and bus tickets for some events in the festival FiraTàrrega.

The IFEA 2016 Summer Camp will be held at Fira Tarrega Festival, 8  th  to 11 th  September.
